Kevin is a natural when it comes to taking excellent care of his clients. The actual hunting is outstanding. The fields are loaded with birds and Kevin's four-legged assistants know their job. I have never been disappointed and I look forward to hunting with Kevin for many years to come. One other important aspect of hunting with Kevin is the ability to bring your own dogs. Kevin's dogs work exceptionally well with the dogs that my hunt partners bring along.

Hills View Hunts provides a first class opportunity to experience some of South Dakota's best upland bird gunning for wild ring-neck pheasant and sharptail grouse in the rustic setting of the rolling native grasslands of McPherson County.
I have been hunting with Kevin since 1992. Not only is the bird hunting excellent but the scenery is outstanding. Acres and acres of grassland and native prairie dotted with sky blue wetlands. Upland game bird opportunities abound with good numbers of pheasants, sharp-tailed grouse and the occasional Hungarian Partridge. What keeps me coming back is the opportunity to hunt on land that has never seen the plow and not knowing what is over the next rise. Watching the wonder of the waterfowl migration, jumping a coyote or jack rabbit, catching a glimpse of a whitetail buck disappearing over the ridge, or hearing the chuckle of a flock of grouse on the wing only adds to the hunting experience.
Successful hunt every day out. Came up here from Arizona, Nebraska, and Colorado. All are long time hunters and have hunted several places, Hills View Hunts is by far the best hunting we have done. Highly recommend to all!!

I was invited out to Hills View Hunts for the first time with my Dad and group during December 2017. I was told the pheasant hunting was "world class" and I couldn't miss the trip. A little skeptical, I drove the 11 hours to see what this place was all about.... and it definitely did not disappoint! The hunting was spectacular and we got our limit each day. Not only was the hunting amazing, the lodging accommodations were excellent as well. I would recommend Kevin's place to everyone and can't wait to get out there again next year.

I have to say that Hills View is a hidden gem! The property has hundreds and hundreds of acres of native grasses and strategically located food plots that support a huge pheasant population. Kevin does an outstanding job managing the land and promoting pheasant habitat. This insures an excellent hunt.
Kevin also provides professional guide service second to none. For the pheasant hunt of a life time, Hills View is the place to be.
